Michelle works in our Commercial Law team and has also practiced in the areas of Criminal law, Wills & Estates and Family Law. She enjoys unpacking sticky problems for her clients and finding innovative solutions for them.


Michelle became a lawyer after a career in Investment Banking within Equity Capital Markets. She worked for firms including Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered Bank, both overseas and in Australia. In her final role she managed the Global Legal Documentation Department for Equity Derivatives. This experience puts Michelle in good stead with drafting, interpreting and negotiating commercial contracts.


A graduate of both Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University, Michelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.


Outside of work Michelle has recently started beginners’ improvisation classes, volunteers with the Pyjama Foundation and is passionate about human rights and access to justice.
